2009

Anna Marie Watson (Doherty)
I am currently living in San Diego studying Entrepreneurial Business at a small private university. I will be starting my Senior year in December and will be graduating with my bachelor's degree in September 2012. 

I was engaged in August 2010 and was just married this past August to Neil Watson, an accounting coordinator/marketing analyst for a company in La Jolla. 

Since my tenure as a UMattR,  things have changed a lot including my life priorities. My attention has shifted more towards fashion, entertainment media, and public relations. I currently produce a blog, Sleek Fizeek (www.sleekfizeek.wordpress.com) which tries to inspire and help women dress according to their unique body shape. Aside from blogging and school, my time is occupied with as much cooking as I can manage. Culinary arts still remains one of my favorite hobbies as does traveling. Those are two passion I will always carry with me through life. 

After my graduation this coming September, I plan to move to San Francisco as my husband pursues his graduate studies there. I hope to eventually get a job working for a local fashion or entertainment company in the Bay area. Regardless of where I end up, my dream job would be to work as a part of the waitstaff at Disneyland's Club 33 or to serve as a production assistant at Pixar studios.

Allyson McGuire
I had a bit of a career change since my first year in college! I am currently working full time as a substitute teacher while waiting to hear back from the US Navy about a full time scholarship that they provide to students in the NROTC program. Assuming I am selected for the program, I will attend college for four more years, and then I will serve as a Naval Officer for at least five years.

I am planning on becoming a surface warfare officer specializing in meteorology and oceanography, or SWMETOC. I am proud to say that as a UMattR teen alumni, I have upheld the reputation of staying drug and alcohol free, even in college.

 

Brittany Spellbring
I'm at UNM and in my second year but a little over a semester ahead due to taking 18 hours a semester and doing a couple of classes in summer and before I went to UNM.  I'm double majoring in Spanish and biology/EMT as a pre-med and going to school to be a pediatrician. I'm also working two evenings a week in several schools doing a program that teaches cheer and dance to school age kids to help promote positive self image and keep kids busy after school. . I have maintained a 3.5 GPA so far and am working hard toward achieving my goals.

I'm here at NMSU along with Ali! I'm taking all my basic classes and then I'll join a tech program to become a dental hygeinist. Hopefully I'll be done in about 4 years and ill be able to start my career and my future family.

Hey everyone! Here is an update of what is going on in my life currently.
I moved back home this semester due to my Grandma dying of cancer. I am working full time at a print shop, teaching ballet at Dance4Him studio, and going to school at San Juan College. I'm still dancing professionally and finished a great season with the Ballet Repertory Theatre of New Mexico in May.
I plan on transferring back to UNM next summer and continuing on with my degree in Occupational Therapy. I am still drug & alcohol free and living a life that is pleasing to God.

I'm at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. My major is Psychology with a minor in Christian Ministry. I want to get my masters to become a marriage and family therapist.

I am attending Eastern Arizona College. I am a member of the softball team at EAC. I am studying to become a physical therapist. My future plans are to attend EAC for two years then continue playing softball while finishing my degree in physical therapy.

Right now I am attending San Juan College though I do plan to transfer to New Mexico Tech next fall. I am majoring in Chemistry with a hope to pursue pharmacy in the future.
