Meet Gillian Tull
Gillian Tull from Home School:
Hi guys, I’m Gillian! I am a part of the 2024 UmattR Team and look forward to each event this year. I have an older sister in college, a dog, a flock of chickens, and 3 beehives that we get a lot of honey from. As my bio page says, I am homeschooled. Contrary to popular belief, yes, I do school. I love homeschooling! I get to pick which order I do my subjects and when I do them. I also do a plethora of activities. I am a youth leader at Hills Church. I lead small groups and get to work with a bunch of awesome people and meet some cool middle schoolers. I also work for a non-profit called TeenPact. I am a travel staffer with this organization. This means I get to travel to our state capital and other state capitals. I teach teens about how every aspect of the government works, and how the students can develop their public speaking skills. Through this camp, I work with other staffers from every state, like Alaska, Hawaii, Connecticut, and every state in between.
Besides these ministries, I am an avid skier. I have been skiing since I was little and enjoy every minute of it. I love the view that comes along with skiing, and any activity that involves the outdoors. I am also a martial artist. I did martial arts for seven years and competed on the national fighting circuit. I am a 2nd-degree black belt, and I was a national and state-ranked fighter for 2 years in a row. My hobbies are reading, hiking, paddleboarding, camping, amongst other things.
